A single room skim typically takes a day. Larger jobs like full house re-plasters or dry lining might take a few days to a week depending on the size and scope. We'll always give you a clear timeline before we start so you know exactly what to expect.
We ask that you move smaller items and valuables before we start. For larger furniture, we can help shift things into the centre of the room or into another room. We always lay down dust sheets and protect your floors and belongings — we treat your home like it's our own.
Fresh plaster needs to dry fully before painting — usually around 4-6 weeks depending on the room's ventilation and the time of year. You'll know it's ready when the plaster turns from dark to a uniform light pink colour. We'll always talk you through the next steps before we leave.
Yes — we deal with Artex and textured ceilings regularly. In most cases, we can overboard with new plasterboard and skim over the top, giving you a smooth, modern finish without the mess and risk of scraping old Artex off. We'll advise on the best approach for your specific ceiling.
